This paper explores the intersection of digital technologies with indigenous media in Nigeria, focusing on social media, podcasts, and online platforms. Drawing from existing literature and case studies, it examines the transformative impacts on cultural preservation, language revitalization, and community engagement. Opportunities include enhanced accessibility, monetization, and global dissemination of indigenous knowledge, particularly for languages like Yoruba and Igbo. However, challenges such as the digital divide, lack of standardized curricula, and cultural erosion persist. The analysis highlights the dual role of these technologies in fostering innovation while exacerbating inequalities, recommending collaborative strategies for sustainable integration. This work contributes to understanding how digital tools can empower indigenous media amid globalization.
