Retraction and Correction Policies
IJDCR maintains clear procedures for correcting the scholarly record when errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication.
Corrections
A correction (erratum or corrigendum) may be issued when:
- Errors affect the accuracy or clarity of the published work
- The findings remain reliable despite the error
Corrections are:
- Linked to the original article
- Clearly labelled and permanently accessible
Retractions
An article may be retracted when:
- Findings are unreliable due to error or misconduct
- There is evidence of plagiarism or duplicate publication
- Ethical standards were violated
- Authorship or data integrity issues cannot be resolved
Retraction notices:
- Clearly state the reason for retraction
- Remain linked to the original article
- Do not remove the original article from the record
Expressions of concern
An expression of concern may be published when:
- An investigation is ongoing
- Evidence of misconduct is inconclusive but potentially serious
