Retraction and Correction Policies

IJDCR maintains clear procedures for correcting the scholarly record when errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication.

Corrections

A correction (erratum or corrigendum) may be issued when:

  • Errors affect the accuracy or clarity of the published work
  • The findings remain reliable despite the error

Corrections are:

  • Linked to the original article
  • Clearly labelled and permanently accessible

Retractions

An article may be retracted when:

  • Findings are unreliable due to error or misconduct
  • There is evidence of plagiarism or duplicate publication
  • Ethical standards were violated
  • Authorship or data integrity issues cannot be resolved

Retraction notices:

  • Clearly state the reason for retraction
  • Remain linked to the original article
  • Do not remove the original article from the record

Expressions of concern

An expression of concern may be published when:

  • An investigation is ongoing
  • Evidence of misconduct is inconclusive but potentially serious
